MOSSEL BAY NEWS - With the Class of 2022 now being free to spread their wings the question may be – where to? 2023 brings along several new opportunities, the Premier Advancement of Youth (PAY) programme being one of them.
The PAY program is a 12-month internship that intends to give former matriculants the chance to get work experience within the Western Cape Government (WCG).
The programme provides matriculants between the ages of 17 and 24 with work experience and training within one of the 13 WCG Departments.
From last year, 485 young people, of whom more than 60% were women, participated in the PAY programme.
Matric learners from all over the Western Cape are encouraged to make use of this opportunity and apply for the programme. This is especially beneficial to those who have not received study opportunities at higher learning institutions for the current academic year.
The Western Cape Government remains committed to providing young people with employment opportunities so they can advance their skills and gain the necessary experience to excel in the workforce.
The online application form can be accessed through the link below: https://westerncapegov-interns.erecruit.co/candidateapp/Jobs/Browse
Applications opened on Monday, 9 January, and will close on Friday, 27 January 2023.
