MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Members of the KwaNonqaba Police used their 67 minutes on Mandela Day to treat the elderly residents of their area to a trip to the Dias Museum and a scrumptious meal afterwards.
The event was jointly organised by the KwaNonqaba Community Police Forum under the chairmanship of Edgar Ntebe and Station Commissioner Lieut-Col Azisa Madongana.
Other senior members of staff of the police station also attended the lunch and together the police thanked the elders for the positive role they play in the community.
"Mandela Day is celebrated for people to recognise their ability to have a positive effect on others," said the communications officer for the KwaNonqaba police, Sgt Kapp.
