MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Da Gamaskop Police Station detectives are urging the public to come forward with information on an alleged hit and run accident earlier this month.
No suspects have been arrested.
A case of reckless and negligent driving is being investigated after a 73-year-old pedestrian suffered head injuries in the accident on the N2 next to the Voorbaai area of Mossel Bay on 7 June at 07:30.
According to the victim he crossed the N2 road when one vehicle overtook another vehicle on the double lane road. The vehicle came from the direction of George, traveling in the direction of Albertinia, and hit the victim.
Unfortunately, the victim can't remember any details of the vehicle that struck him, only that it was a small vehicle.
The police urge any person who may have witnessed the incident to contact Warrant Officer Janette Yssel (044 606 2233).
Information needed after house breaking
The Da Gamaskop Police Station detectives are urging members of the public to come forward with any information that could assist them with an investigation into a house breaking and theft incident that occurred during the period 2 to 3 June, from a Bush Trailer in Seemeeu Street, Seemeeu Park in Mossel Bay.
Several items were stolen including the following: army storage crates, bush showers, light set cables, Lunatec lights, deep cycle batteries and wind netting (wind shield).
Any information regarding the case can be given to Warrant Officer Marizaan du Plessis (044 606 2232).

The Da Gamaskop Police asks any person who recognises the cellphone pictured below to contact the investigating officer Warrant Officer Adele Binneman at the Da Gamaskop Detective Unit (044 606 2272).
