MOSSEL BAY NEWS AND VIDEO - A large group supported the Winter Knights Polar Plunge event held at the Point in Mossel Bay on Saturday evening, 21 July.
Because of the low level of the tidal pool, it was decided to rather make a dash for the pool wall, instead of risking broken ankles when plunging into the pool.

Ducks marked with lucky draw numbers were released before the "dash" and the winners will receive their prizes at a function that will be held soon.
This is a national project in which Round Table supports local communities by collecting donations of blankets, jackets and food from the public to give to those in need.
This charity drive is also a fun event, when members of Round Table, business partners, charitable organisations and the public supporting the Winter Knights, plunge into the icy water of the tidal pool at the Point.
The Round Table Committee thanks everyone who helped to arrange, support or sponsor the event as well as every person who came out in the cold of winter to be a knight for charity.

Volunteers of S.M.A.R.T. (Stranded Marine Animal Rescue Team) also supported the Polar Plunge.
Round Tablers Paul Hoeksema, Mark Furness, Marius Schonken, Stephan de Witt, Robert Liron and Round Table chairman Heinrich Strydom were in high spirits after the plunge.
