MOSSEL BAY NEWS & VIDEO - Skilled labourers and committee members of the Ikamvalethu Labour Forum today picketed in front of Swift Human Resources in Voorbaai and handed over a memorandum of grievances to the management of the company.
In the memorandum, they demand equal job opportunities and accuse Swift of employing only coloured and white labour.
They claim Swift is promoting apartheid and gave the company seven working days to give them feedback on the memorandum.
The director of Swift human resources, Maria Mahlangu Machete, and manager Anton Benn received and signed the memorandum on behalf of the company.
Benn said to the Mossel Bay Advertiser that 99% of the points on the memorandum are unfounded but the company will respond to the memorandum within the given time.
