MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Thanks to the selfless donation by a cancer patient before he passed away, others needing palliative care now have a place to go to, where they can receive end-of-life care.
Before much-loved local Sean Grassow lost his battle to cancer, he donated new equipment which was bought for him to Cansa for it to use when caring for terminally ill patients. Grassow passed away in August
It has been years in the planning that AdCare in Hartenbos, a home for dementia sufferers, would offer a facility to Cansa, where palliative care would be offered.
According to AdCare owner Hein Marx, with the developments planned at AdCare, there will be additional facilities made available to Cansa in future.
