MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay finalist in the Miss Junior SA competition, Vinolia Snoek, donated maternity sanitary pads and baby clothes to the Mossel Bay Provincial Hospital at the weekend.
These are to be given to women who have given birth to babies at the hospital. Vinolia visited the hospital on Saturday, 20 February.
Part of the portfolio of contestants in the Miss Junior SA competition is charity work.
The competition is run by Pageants SA and has nothing to do with the Miss South Africa pageant, which is run by a separate company.
Vinolia said she chose to make these donations because families have been hit hard by Covid-19 and moms battle to make ends meet. She also made a donation to Creating Effective Families in Tarka. It is a charity which supports women and children.
Vinolia plans to make a donation to The Haven Night Shelter in Mossel Bay next week.
She thanked the community for supporting her and contributing donations for the hospital and charities.
