MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay town council has agreed to the recommendation that the adjustments to the municipality's by-law regarding public nuisance be accepted and promulgated.
The amendments will be published in the Provincial Gazette and come into effect on the date of promulgation thereof.
Due to the comments and objections received during the public participation process, the draft by-law regarding public nuisance was reviewed and amended accordingly.
Council noted that the amendments to the by-law are not in conflict, nor intended to replace the current SA Civil Aviation legislation, but to address specifically the nuisance caused by the various recreational and sports flying craft.
The amendments will not provide the municipality with any income potential.
