HERBERTSDALE NEWSFLASH AND VIDEO - Amidst welcome rain earlier in Herbertsdale today several beneficiaries were handed the keys and title deeds to their new homes.
Human Settlements MEC minister Bonginkosi Madikizela said the day was not merely about handing homes to the deserving beneficiaries.
"People who were previously dispossessed of land, people who had no homes today benefitted from a policy to hand not only homes, but ownership of the land to them.
"Today's ceremony proves that it is not necessary to change the Constitution of the country to give effect to land distribution."
A number of disabled beneficiaries were among those who received the title deeds and keys to their new homes.
