Update

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay resident Peggy Roux was admitted to hospital after an accident on her motorcycle on Louis Fourie Road on Sunday, 6 November.

Peggy sustained serious injuries during the incident.

She is the secretary of Ulysses Garden Route (UGR) motorcycle club. She was still in hospital by the time Mossel Bay Advertiser went to print. Peggy assisted at the Ironman 70.3 and she helped to transport a cameraman at the event.

He was riding pillion on the motorcycle during the accident and was also injured and taken to a local hospital.

KwaNonqaba police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, says the police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving.

A preliminary investigation suggests that Roux's motorcycle collided with a vehicle at about 11:30. 

The investigating officer is Sgt Thabisa Links and any witnesses of the accident with information that could assist police, may contact him on 044 606 5633.
