MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Three Mossel Bay contestants did extremely well at the SA Championships of Performing Arts (SACOPA) held in Rustenburg last week.

Maja Snyman won seven gold, two silver and one bronze medal. She was the overall champion: junior instrumental and the grand champion: instrumental.

Zoë Fortuin won four gold medals and a silver medal and Romeo Wagner won three gold medals and a bronze medal.

All three have been chosen for the South African team going to Disneyland in Anaheim in 2022 for the World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA).

Annerie Snyman, who is the Southern Cape head of SACOPA, arranged the Southern Cape regional SACOPA semi-finals held earlier this year in George, prior to the finals in Rustenburg.

Snyman said: "We are looking for funds to help these artists go to WCOPA in the United States next year."
