MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The upgrading of Louis Fourie Road was the hot topic at the monthly Mossel Bay Business Chamber networking event this week.
Peter Henderson of the consulting engineers, Hatch Africa, administering the contract on behalf of the Western Cape Department of Transport and Public Works, gave a presentation on the plans for the upgrade and discussed how it would take place.
Keegan de Waal, the contract coordinator at Transport and Public Works, was also present and spoke briefly and answered questions.

Business people had the opportunity to voice their concerns about timeframes for the upgrading of various sections of Louis Fourie Road.
Mossel Bay's Henra Civil Contractors is the local contractor for the project.
The event was hosted by Nissan Mossel Bay on Louis Fourie Road in Voorbaai on Tuesday, 16 August.
Nissan announced it planned to have a completely new building next year, but at the dealership's current address.
It's deadline for the work to begin is February or March.
New members of the business chamber had the opportunity to introduce themselves and their businesses at the event and there were lucky draws at the end.
