MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay executive mayor, Alderman Dirk Kotzé, hosted a breakfast today, 28 March, in which he discussed his investment and economic growth strategy.
His address was in effect the "municipal budget speech".
Kotzé made a number of exciting points including that the municipality had undertaken a re-branding exercise, with a modernised logo.
He said the logo of the three ship sails would remain three sails, but would be vamped up. This was done at minimal cost by staff within the municipality and the new logo would be phased in gradually.
He also spoke of large housing developments in the pipeline, beautifying the townships with gardens, water security to cope with the influx of new residents in town and plans to draw people to the town through sport.
Town planning was also a key topic in the speech.
The date for the mayoral ball was also announced. An auction was held to raise funds for the Mayoral Fund which assists those in need in town. Read more in the Mossel Bay Advertiser on Friday.
