MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Da Gamaskop police are seeking assistance in connection with the murder of a man found in F Sam Street in Joe Slovo Village on Friday, 31 March. According to information supplied, the incident took place at 06:00.
The deceased, a man in his twenties, is currently only known by a nickname, which cannot be divulged in the media since his next of kin have not yet been informed of his death.
The police request the community for assistance in the investigation.
It is reported that the deceased was in an altercation with two unknown men, which allegedly led to him being stabbed in the neck. He died at the scene of a single stab wound of about two to three centimetres to the neck.
During the course of Friday, a suspect in his thirties was arrested in connection with the murder.
The arrest was made with the assistance of the crime intelligence network.
During the arrest, the murder weapon was found and is currently in possession of the police.

Ncapayi Street
With regards to an unrelated incident, the Da Gamaskop police are urgently in need of information regarding a murder committed on 31 March, when a man was found dead at 03:29 in Ncapayi Street in the vicinity of Charles' Tavern.
The crime was committed during a street party attended by nearly 1 000 people. The deceased, Siphenathi Frans, was found with multiple stab wounds all over his body.
Anyone with information regarding the murder is requested to contact the investigating officer, Sgt Adele Binneman (044 606 2200 or 082 469 7583). A generous reward is offered for information that will lead to any arrests made.
