Man dies after bundu court attack

A 24-year-old man from Mossel Bay died in the George provincial hospital, yesterday, Tuesday 6 February, a day after he was severely assaulted in a Bundu court. The victim was attacked by members of the community in New Rest, Asla Park, on Monday.

MOSSEL BAY NEWS- A 24-year-old man from Mossel Bay died in the George provincial hospital, yesterday, Tuesday 6 February, a day after he was severely assaulted in a Bundu court.

The victim was attacked by members of the community in New Rest, Asla Park, on Monday.
A member of the community told the Mossel Bay Advertiser that the attack took place shortly after a 12-year-old girl was reported missing at about 16:00 on Monday.

The child was taken to hospital for a medical examination after there were claims that she had been raped.

Members of the community then assaulted the man.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, says the circumstances surrounding the murder are being investigated.
