MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Despite Covid-19, Christmas has not been cancelled, although one will have to do things a little differently this year.
Every year the Mossel Bay charity, Heart to Heart, together with volunteers, has a day full of fun and food for the 150 orphaned and vulnerable children from the community, whom it supports.
For the first time in 17 years, Heart to Heart will not be hosting its annual Christmas party for these special children, due to Covid-19.
However, they still wish to bless the 150 children with Christmas gifts, as 2020 has been traumatic for all.
Heart to Heart invites the community to sponsor a Christmas Box of Love for R300 or buddy up with a friend and each pay R150.
"Due to Covid-19, when we receive your donation, Heart to Heart will do the shopping on the donor's behalf to limit their possible exposure to Covid-19."
Anyone wishing to partner with Heart to Heart, can call 044 693 0828 or 082 956 1041 or make contact via Facebook: Heart to Heart Care Centre South Africa or Instagram: Heart_to_Heart_Mbay. Bank details for donations will be made available on request.
"You are more than welcome to go to the office, at 68 Apiesdoring Street, Heiderand (New Life Church) and write your personal Christmas message to the child whose gift you will be sponsoring," a Heart to Heart spokesperson said.
Help Heart to Heart to put a smile on children's faces this Christmas.
