MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Having a 100th birthday is an achievement and having your children, family and friends with you on the day means that the memory of the celebration will always be cherished.
Joyce de Swardt was born on New Year's Day 1923.
Joyce, her two daughters, Sandy Luyt and Peta Swart and her son Michael de Swardt as well as local family and friends, spent the day with Joyce at Sandy's house, where Joyce also lives.
Letters and good wishes full of love were put together in a special memory book, made by Joyce's daughter-in-law, Cindy de Swardt.
"Thank you, mom, for all the love and what you do for us," says her daughter Peta Swart. "Thank you for being our mom. We love you to the moon and back. May God's angels always keep you safe."
