MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Department of Basic Education released the class of 2019 National Senior Certificate matric results on Tuesday, 8 January.
Just before noon matriculants gathered at Indwe Secondary School in Mossel Bay to fetch their results. Before 12:00 nervous learners were standing around waiting for the results.
By going to press no detailed information and pass rates and individual achievements was received.
A total of 787,717 candidates entered for the November 2019 NSC examination. The class of 2019 registered an overall pass percentage of 81.3%, which is an improvement of 3.1% to the performance of the November 2018 cohort and is the highest pass percentage recorded in the last 25 years.

Education minister, Angie Motshekga said that 186,058 matric students achieved a bachelor’s pass and 144,762 achieved a diploma pass.
