MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Municipality apologises to motorists for the inconvenience caused by roadworks in George Road, Mossel Bay.
Problems have been experienced since the weekend with a large sewer line located below the roadway. Just over 200 meters of the sewer line must be replaced. This means that the roadway needs to be dug open.
Repairs are expected to take about a week to ten days, depending on the availability of materials.
Motorists travelling from De Bakke to the CBD will still be able to drive via George Road. However, motorists who want to drive from the CBD in the direction of Santos, are being diverted via Long Street.
Every effort has been made to limit and clear the moderate sewage spills.
