MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Councillors and officials of the Mossel Bay Municipality responsible for housing visited the Asazani Izinyoka housing project as part of their oversight role.
The Asazani Izinyoka project, with 733 housing opportunities, is nearing completion.
The project consists of four phases, with the first phase being the 447 houses of Luthuli Village. This phase was completed in 2012. Then followed New Rest, with 28 homes; that was also completed in 2012.
The 65 houses in Asazani were completed and handed over in 2020.
The fourth and current phase, with 193 homes, is currently being developed, with 101 homes having already been completed and handed over to their new occupants.
If all goes according to plan, this project, with a total value of R42 million, will finally be completed by June 2021.
