MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The art exhibition at the NG Moedergemeente church (Klipkerk) in Church Street this week has been extremely successful.
It is being held as part of the Mossel Bay Arts Festival.
PHOTO GALLERY: The art exhibition
There has been plenty of foot traffic and a good number of artworks have sold.
More than 30 artists' works are on show.
The exhibition, which opened on Monday and continues until Saturday 26 August, was organised by local artist Maresna van Schoor.
There is a tremendous variety of work on show, in many different media, from wooden sculptures, through to watercolours, jewellery, glass art and ceramics.
The works are reasonably priced.
The church hall has proved a wonderful venue for the exhibition. The historic architecture, with wooden floors, the high ceiling, high windows and chandeliers, are a beautiful backdrop for the works on show.
The opening night, held on Tuesday, 22 August, was well attended, and a bustling, joyous occasion.
Artists' feedback was that it was one of the best opening nights they had experienced and good contacts were made.
The times are: Today until Friday - 08:00 to 19:00; Saturday - 08:00 to 15:00.
