MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A Heritage Day celebration, organised by Mossel Bay South African National Civic Organisation (SANCO), will take place at Imekhaya Primary School on Tuesday, 24 September. Everyone is invited to attend. Proceedings start at 11:00.
If you or a group of people would like to perform on the day, call SANCO secretary Beatrice Cusha (072 096 3880 or 060 893 7722)) to be included in the programme.
Beatrice says all are welcome, such as singers, poets, traditional dancers, gumboot dancers and so forth. Everyone who comes to the Heritage Day event is encouraged to wear the dress of their culture.
There will be traditional food for sale, so bring your wallet.
Heritage Society of Mossel Bay chair Carina Wiggill said Beatrice, and SANCO overall, should be lauded for organising this community event to promote appreciation of people's heritage.
