MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Milkwood Primary School Grade 1s were relaxed and happy on their first day at school on Wednesday, 17 January.
Principal Van Wyk Dames told the Mossel Bay Advertiser: "We always have an introductory day for the Grade 1s the day before the first day of school so that on the first day they are completely confident and ready to start the day when they say goodbye to their parents in the morning."
The children were all smiles and had already settled into their classes when the Advertiser visited early in the day.
They had already learnt to say: "Good morning and how are you?" to visitors and when they were asked how they were in return, they all replied in unison: "Fantastic!"
