GREAT BRAK NEWS - The Great Brak River Youth Café celebrated its first birthday on Friday, 23 March.
The Youth Café, in Hibiscus Street, Greenhaven, serves as a "doorkeeper" for people between the ages of 15 and 34, who are not in education, not in training and not employed.
The Youth Café enables them to access opportunities through skills development and personal development which enhances positive social interactions.
It is a state-of-the-art R6.5 million facility. It was built, equipped and furnished by PetroSA under the design guidance of the Department of Social Development.
"It sure has been a good year and we now have something to add to our curriculum vitae," the interns of 2017 told the Mossel Bay Home Ads News during the celebrations.
New interns for 2018 were introduced to employees at the Youth Café. They too will receive computer training and get the opportunity to be exposed to a working environment at the Youth Café.
