GREAT-BRAK RIVER NEWS - Police in Great Brak River have launched a manhunt for two suspects who severely assaulted a 75-year-old woman in her home.
The victim was attacked on Monday night, tied up and strangled and could only alert the police this afternoon after she managed to cut herself loose.
Police say the suspects gained access to the house in Voorbrug Road by climbing through a living room window.
The victim was assaulted in her bed and tied up before the suspects fled with her cell phone and unknown items.
The victim is being treated in a Mossel Bay hospital and police are investigating a case of house robbery.
