Early in 2013 residents from Great Brak River got together under the guidance of Heleen Coertze to initiate a “revival” in the huge potential that exists in Great Brak River, not only from a tourism point-of-view, but also from a variety of other aspects such as sport, leisure and creativity.
It was decided to call for entries for a new logo for the village. The response was very enthusiastic and the due dates had to be adjusted twice to get to a final decision.
“We are very pleased with the choices we made. Firstly an artistic, free style logo by Bert du Plooy and a wave style design entered by Lynda Jacobsen, to be used on banners and flags along with our official logo. Both artists are from Great Brak which is great news”, said the driving force of the campaign, Heleen Coertze.
Businesses in Great Brak will be encouraged to make use of the new logo on all advertising and official documents in future.
