MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Pierre le Roux, who served the Friends of the Dias Museum committee as chairman for many years, was totally taken aback when he was invited to attend a meeting at the museum.
However, the so-called "meeting" was only a smoke screen to get him to the museum.
The occasion was the handing over of a gift of appreciation to him by the manager of the museum, Mbulelo Mrubata.
In a short speech he paid tribute to Le Roux for the good work he had done over many years.
The chairman of the management committee, Harold Miller, who had had the pleasure of working with Le Roux, told a few stories about him and also applauded the work he had done.
