MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Skål South Africa Annual General Assembly (AGA) took place in Paarl recently.
It was a joyous occasion for Skål International Garden Route as it was awarded prestigious accolades.
Skål International is a professional organisation of tourism leaders from around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship.
Andrew Rogers represented Skål International Garden Route at the Skål South Africa AGA.
The weekend started with an educational tour of the Afrikaans Language Monument, followed by a picnic in the grounds.
During the awards ceremony Skål International Garden Route received the award for Skål Club of the Year.
Elmay Bouwer, also a Skål International Garden Route member, won the Karl Twiggs Award for excellence and leadership in the tourism industry.
