MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The KwaNonqaba Police Social Crime Office, in collaboration with the KwaNonqaba Community Policing Forum (CPF), hosted a Sports against crime rural netball event, in line with the National Development Plan and the rural safety initiatives for the Western Cape.
On this historic day, Saturday, 25 March, five schools were represented, and six teams participated in the one-day tournament held at Herbertsdale Primary School.
The teams were highly competitive. However, the winners of the matches were decided on in the spirit of fair play.
Eventually Garden Route Primary School team emerged as the champion, with Imekhaya and Isalathiso primary schools in second and third place respectively.
KwaNonqaba CPF chairman Shadrack Shishana and the executive administered the handing over of the trophies and medals.
The Kwanonqaba Police management lauded the efforts of the organisers of the event and special acknowledgement was made of Herbertsdale Primary, the Ray of Hope organisation and the Mossel Bay Sports Council for their significant contributions towards the success of the tournament.
