MOSSEL BAY NEWS - There was flooding in the greater Mossel Bay area on Saturday, 21 October, after heavy rain in the catchment areas inland.
This caused rivers to overflow.

Mossel Bay Advertiser reported on Facebook and on the newspaper website about flooding in Little Brak, Great Brak, Ruiterbos and Brandwag.
Members of the public sent the Advertiser photographs of rivers in flood, low water bridges covered by water and rivers spilling over roads.
A number of roads and bridges were closed to motorists.
On Wednesday, 25 October, Mossel Bay Municipality's Fire and Disaster Management Services staff went to inspect the damage after the flooding.
The municipality provided photographs to the Advertiser taken on Wednesday of flood damage and erosion on the Leeukloof Road in Ruiterbos.
Also on Wednesday, there was still water over the low water bridge on the Haelkraal Road in Ruiterbos. The bridge is over the Kouma River.
