Essential electrical upgrade

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Municipality is planning essential work on the electricity supply to Great Brak River Island but will have to switch off the supply to an extended area for safety reasons for about six hours to complete the work properly.

The work is scheduled for 22 September from 09:00 to 15:00.

For your convenience, the areas concerned are circled in red on the attached aerial photo and include SAOU Kloof, SAOU Strandoord, Dwarswegstrand, Pienaarstrand, Bothastrand, Hersham, Dolphin Creek, Island Cove and Die Eiland.

For the duration of the supply interruption, residents are requested to consider all electrical implements as live and to, where possible, turn off their sensitive appliances.

Mossel Bay Municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused by this vital work, and thanks the community for its kind cooperation.

Should weather conditions prevent the work from taking place on the planned date, the work will be rescheduled for the alternative date of 23 September.
