MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Sunday, 1 October, was International Day of Older Persons. To mark the day, the Mossel Bay Rotary Club and a hotel in town treated 20 residents of Benevolent Park senior citizens' complex and an ACVV seniors' home to a high tea and gift bags at the hotel.
Rotary usually does a "grab a granny" project each year, giving a group of elderly residents a fun day out, but this year they decided to do it on the Day of Older Persons.
Rotary thanks Dave, Wendy, Lewis, Daisy, Success and Bongi, who really went out of their way to give the elderly folk a special treat.

A Rotary spokesperson said: "Thank you to our president Magdeléne and past president Fiona for organising a wonderful celebration, where we were made welcome and treated to a feast.
"The table was beautifully decorated with flowers, delicate cups and pink serviettes and there were three-tiered cake stands loaded with delicious savoury and sweet treats
"Benevolent Park brought residents to the venue and Rotarians transported guests from the ACVV senior's home."
They were treated with a feast.
