MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Department of Transport confirmed that following routine maintenance done to driver's licence card machine, a technical problem occurred which makes the production of cards impossible.
It is expected that the required replacement of a critical part awaited from the original equipment manufacturer, may delay the resumption of card production by up to three weeks.
Members of the public are however urged to continue applying for their driving licence cards as normal. The problem is also affecting service delivery at the Mossel Bay municipal traffic department.
