Dirk hugely successful at New York show

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay model and actor Dirk van Noordwyk is making it big. No, not big - huge.

By Thursday, 21 July, in New York City, at the International Modelling Talent Association (IMTA) expo - the world's largest annual modelling and talent industry event, Dirk had achieved the following final results:

Won - Model spot award
Won - TV beauty award
Won - TV real people award
11 call-backs
Top eight within the SA group

His mother, father and sister arrived in New York to surprise him on Friday, 15 July, his mother, Vanessa van Noordwyk, told the Mossel Bay Advertiser. "It was a massive moment," Vanessa said. She told the Advertiser all about his latest achievements.

The IMTA red carpet gala evening was on Thursday, 21 July.

"Dirk is flying the SA and Mossel Bay flags high here in New York city," Vanessa said.

Not only is Dirk achieving mega success overseas, he is one of the 30 finalists in the Mr South Africa pageant back home.
