MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Hot on the heels of the highly successful mayoral golf day in September which serves as a fundraiser for the mayoral fund, there is yet another exciting opportunity in the pipeline to contribute to this worthy cause.
This time around women are taking the lead to support the Mayoral Fund.
“We have realised that there are so many needs in our community, that a single event will not do justice to our desire to reach out and assist. Therefore, as women we decided to support the mayoral fund through a unique, glamorous ladies only event,” explains the speaker, Venolea Fortuin.
On 15 February 2023, women of the greater Mossel Bay and surrounds are invited to dine with the speaker and first lady of Mossel Bay, Riëtte Kotzé, the Mayor’s wife.
Tapping into the new destination marketing campaign for the town, Iconic Mossel Bay, the theme is: 'I am iconic". This formal event will be hosted at the Diaz Beach Hotel.
Guests can look forward to welcoming drinks, goodie bags, a three-course meal, give aways, entertainment, superb company and lots of laughter.
Bookings can be made with Ronell du Toit (rdutoit@mosselbay.gov.za). All funds raised will be donated to the mayoral fund. The mayoral fund is applied to support worthy causes in the community like ensuring promising sportsmen to compete despite financial challenges. It also serves as a means of assisting fire victims and those experiencing other community crises.
