MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Great news is that the Dias Museum will again be open over weekends, not only during the week, to accommodate visitors to town as well as locals.
During the different lockdown levels, the museum was either closed or only open for a few hours a day and not over weekends.
Now you can enjoy the treasures of the museum during the following hours:
- Monday - Friday: 09:00 - 17:00
- Saturday: 09:00 - 16:00
- Sunday: 09:00 - 13:00 and public holidays 09:00 -16:00.
Make sure you visit the Post Office Tree, the largest shell collection in Africa, the rambling gardens (with a Braille trail) as well as the majestic caravel and the different artefacts in the main museum.
Enjoy a cup of aromatic coffee and a snack at the museum and purchase a keepsake at the museum shop.
Make this holiday a cultural one, with a visit to the Dias Museum, where cultures meet.
