Municipal Manager Adv Thys Giliomee explained the benefit of this rating to both Mossel Bay residents and potential investors.
Being rated the best in the Western Cape means residents are assured of the municipality’s ability to develop and maintain the infrastructure necessary to consistently deliver the necessary services to the high levels they have become accustomed to. Mossel Bay has consistently achieved high marks in the Ratings Afrika index. The top score reflects sound long term development planning, financial management policies and discipline by the leadership of Mossel Bay.
Investors and potential investors are assured of an effective local government with well sustained world-class municipal infrastructure and services that makes it the obvious choice as a destination for tourism, retirement, business and investment.
