Date of prayer day announced

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - The Mossel Bay Day of Prayer will take place on 14 April from 13:30 to 17:00 at the Van Riebeeck Sport Stadium.

In the case of adverse weather, the venue will change to the Mossel Bay Town Hall.

Anyone interested in attending is requested to be seated by 14:00. Bringing chairs, cushions and refreshments is advised.

Pastors and ministers of religion of local churches will open with a prayer. The executive mayor, Alderman Harry Levendal, will officially open the event, whereafter faith leaders will preside over the event. Dancers of the Omgee Rehab will perform and the worship team will lead everyone in well-known songs of worship, followed by songs by a choir.

Several themes will be addressed, among others the need to effectively address violence and criminality, substance abuse and spiritual guidance for the leadership.

No refreshments will be sold at the venue.
