Criminality reason for unrest

MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Municipality can confirm that the protest action this morning in Asla Park was not service delivery related, but rather a few criminal elements that wanted to cause disruption to others. 

A truck was torched on the N2 highway at around 05:00. This led to the closure of the N2 in both directions for a few hours.

A part of Louis Fourie Road between the Dana bay turnoff and Mayixhale Street was also closed due to stoning. 

Traffic had to be diverted. 

Both the N2 and Louis Fourie Road was swiftly reopened.
