MOSSEL BAY NEWS - "Today is like Christmas." Those were the words of Pastor Liyanda Maki of the Siyanithanda centre for the disabled in KwaNonaqaba, when members of the Mossel Bay correctional services, representing the youth centre as well as community corrections visited the centre to hand over school uniforms and other necessities.
Every year, the members personally contribute towards a project to uplift the local community and this year, Siyanithanda as well as TM Ndanda Primary School, were chosen as beneficiaries.
At TM Ndanda, another 40 learners were given made up parcels containing school uniforms and necessities.
Pastor Maki explained that his wife, who started the centre in 2000, named the centre Siyanithanda, which means "we love".
"All of you have your own kids, and yet you chose to come share your love and bless us with these gifts," Pastor Maki said in his vote of thanks.
