MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A man in his late 40s, Maneli Sonwabo, has been sentenced to 11 years direct imprisonment for raping Mossel Bay resident, 58-year-old Nokwezi Nkuza.
Sonwabo was out on parole for only three days on a rape charge when he attacked and raped Nkuza.
The incident took place on 12 December 2016 at about 16:00 in KwaNonqaba. Sonwabo was Nkuza's neighbour. The case was investigated by Sgt Mantshadi Mofokeng from the Mossel Bay police Unit for Family Violence and Child Protection Services.
Nkuza says justice has prevailed and she thanks Sgt Mofokeng for her thorough investigation.
