MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Emergency services were quick to respond to a fire that destroyed a church early this morning.
When members of the Langeberg K9 police dog unit arrived on the scene in Dyusha Street, KwaNonqaba, they found the church pastor outside the informal dwelling that was used as a church.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
Emergency services are mopping up and at this stage it does not seem as if anything other than sound equipment was destroyed along with the building.
Eyewitnesses lauded the Mossel Bay Fire and Disaster Management personnel for their quick response.

"The firefiighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring houses."
Fortunately none of the neighbouring houses were affected by the fire.
