MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A total of 32 charities submitted their names for the Garden Route Casino charity slots tournament which took place last Sunday, 29 September.
Contestants in the tournament had the opportunity to choose a charity which would benefit from their winnings.
The prospect of winning sparked a lively atmosphere as the charities cheered on their champions.
The Rise and Shine Soup Kitchen was awarded the largest prize money - R15 000. Other winners included Cansa Relay for Life, which was awarded the second and third prizes, winning a total of R8 000. The Mossel Bay Surf Lifesaving Club received R2 000 in prize money.
A festive atmosphere prevailed during the Garden Route Casino Charity Slots Tournament. Here the winner, a representative from the Rise and Shine soup kitchen, holds a generous cheque for R15 000.
