MOSSEL BAY NEWS - A group of 25 young locals received their certificates last week for undergoing nail (acrylic and gel) technician training, as part of a project to empower the youth.
Through a partnership, the Mossel Bay Municipality's Youth, Sports and Recreation Development Office and the Small Enterprise Development Agency aim to empower the youth with skills and knowledge that will enable them to start or grow their business in the personal care industry.
This training covered the basics of acrylic and gel techniques. It was offered by an accredited service provider, Africa Skills, and the participants were each presented with a certificate.
A ceremony for the handover of certificates was held on Friday, 24 November.
The training took place at the KwaNonqaba Commuity Hall.
Staff from the Youth, Sports and Recreation Development Office were in attendance, as well as municipal Community Services director, Elize Nel.
