MOSSEL BAY NEWS - National Marine Month, celebrated in October, creates awareness of South Africa's marine and coastal environments and the benefits our oceans bring to our nation.
The month-long celebration of National Marine Month includes various programmes of events in different parts of the country including the Western Cape, Northern Cape, Southern Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.
In Mossel Bay the celebrations will be held on Thursday, 28 October at 18:00 for 18:30 at the Dias Museum.
To add some flair to the celebrations, guests are urged to dress like sea creatures. Otherwise, informal dress is also acceptable. Children are very welcome.
The guest speaker is Mark Dixon, who will talk on The Strandloper project and marine art by Albri Woodward will be on display. There are also a number of pleasant surprises for the guests.
Book your seat by Tuesday, 26 October.
