MOSSEL BAY NEWS - "The St Peters blanket project is back and up and running at full speed, thanks to the doctors' rooms bringing our baskets out again for all to knit the blocks for us," says Kathleen Frost.
The project started in June 2001 and to date 3 000 blankets have been made and distributed.
"This would not be possible without the Mossel Bay community's help," says Kathleen.
"Thank you to all the home knitters who carried us through the Covid pandemic and are still going strong, keeping the blocks flowing. As we depend on financial help for our wool purchases, we would like to have a wool drive again to help with the blanket project.
"We cannot always expect to have financial help. There are plenty of other groups that need help as well."
Dalene of Toucan Material and Wool at 29 Industry Road, Mossel Bay, has offered her shop as a drop-off point for wool donations.
All donations should be handed in at the till point.
