MOSSEL BAY NEWSFLASH - A woman presumably suffered a blackout this afternoon moments before the vehicle she was driving collided with a traffic light at the Casino Road intersection.

According to eyewitnesses the vehicle moved onto the road median before it hit the traffic lights. 

The woman driver managed to steer the vehicle to safety on the other side of the intersection. Only when speaking to bystanders did she realise that her vehicle was involved in a collision and badly damaged. 

The woman apparently said that she had donated blood earlier  the afternoon. 

From the feedback received, it does not seem as if the woman, who was alone in the vehicle, was seriously injured. 

Emergency services responded swiftly to assist in clearing the accident scene.
