MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Some people's birthdays are extra special.
You get to skip school and go on an excursion - even the beach. Traffic gets stopped. You can wear civvies and go barefoot.
Park Primary School had an exciting outing to celebrate the principal's birthday recently. The children walked from the school to Santos Beach.
Principal Daan du Toit, who is a parachutist, was going to jump out of an aircraft and land on the beach, but there was too much wind.
Last year his special birthday treat could not take place because of rain, but maybe next year will be "third time lucky" with the weather and he will have his dream of doing a jump.
The children built sand castles and enjoyed games on the beach.
Park Primary School shows it has a sense of humour.
