MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Mossel Bay Municipality, in its quest to improve universal access, thus ensuring an enjoyable beach experience for all visitors during the festive season, offers a custom-built beach chair for the disabled.

The beach chair and access mat were made available in November 2022 and have since been used by several persons with disabilities during their visits to Mossel Bay. During the summer holiday, the chair will once again be available.

The facility must be booked well in advance and may only be used when sea conditions are favorable and while lifeguards are on duty between 09:00 and 18:00 each day until 31 January 2024.

It is available at Santos Beach (a Blue Flag beach) only this season. For more information, contact Rudi Minnie (rminnie@mosselbay.gov.za).
