MOSSEL BAY NEWS - Anton Siebert, an educator at Diaz Primary School, has reached the top 10 in the Mr South Africa competition.
According to Siebert, his dream has always been to reach the top 10, but now this has become a reality, he is even more excited about the final stretch in the competition.
"It was my goal from the onset, but with a competition that has so many facets, month to month, you end up sometimes only focusing on the next challenge.
"The driving force spurring me on has been the learners at the school and the community of Mossel Bay. The competition has never been about myself, but to be a positive role model for good, amid difficult times."
He is satisfied that he has reached his goal, regardless of the outcome of the competition.
"The competition gave me the platform I needed to touch and change lives. I could not have asked for more."
The gala event is at the end of November, Siebert told the Mossel Bay Advertiser earlier this week.
He expressed his gratitude to the community for its support.
The community can continue their support by SMSing MRSA49 to 40439. Each SMS costs R2. Free SMSes do not count.
Anton Siebert at his happiest, among the learners at Diaz Primary, where he teaches.
